The UAE is set to intensify national efforts around clean sport with the launch of the Anti-Doping Awareness Programme on 15 November 2025, a comprehensive four-week initiative designed to educate athletes, coaches, medical teams, officials, and parents on the principles of fair play and sporting integrity.
Organised by the Elite Sport UAE (ESUAE) Committee, under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports and in partnership with the National Anti-Doping Agency, the initiative reflects the country’s commitment to upholding transparency, responsibility, and global anti-doping standards across its sporting ecosystem.
Programme Highlights:

Target audience includes athletes, youth athletes, coaches, physicians, officials, technical teams, and parents - Sessions to cover TUE procedures, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, testing guidelines, and roles under the National Anti-Doping Code
- Final week dedicated to youth athletes and parents with interactive tablet-based learning activities
The programme is built to reach all layers of the sporting pyramid, offering a series of lectures and interactive workshops delivered by leading specialists and anti-doping experts. High-performance athletes, developing youth, medical teams, technical staff, and parents will all be engaged through tailored content designed to strengthen understanding and compliance.
Educational Themes Include:
- Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE): processes and regulations
- Athletes’ Rights and Responsibilities: ensuring athletes understand protections and obligations
- Testing & Sample Collection Procedures: transparency around protocols
- Roles Under the National Anti-Doping Code: clarifying accountability for all participants
The programme’s final week will focus specifically on young athletes and families, incorporating gamified, interactive learning through tablet-based activities to reinforce essential anti-doping principles.
