Virtuocity Battle Ground (VBG) Qatar is returning for its second edition, bringing a month of competitive esports to Doha with seven international gaming titles and a USD 200,000 prize pool.
Announced by Qatar Calendar, Virtuocity Battle Ground Qatar 2026 will take place from 1 to 30 September at Virtuocity in Doha Festival City.
The championship will bring together gamers, content creators and esports fans from Qatar, the wider region and beyond.
The event is presented by Qatar Calendar and powered by Ooredoo Nation. Al Kass Sports Channel joins as media partner, while Qatar Esports Federation and Snoonu City are major sponsors.
Seven esport titles feature at VBG Qatar 2026
Building on the success of its first edition, this year’s championship will feature seven internationally recognised titles: VALORANT, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), EA Sports FC 26, Tekken 8 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Players will compete across multiple gaming platforms, with the tournament progressing through online qualifiers, LAN qualifiers and live Grand Finals.
Across the seven titles, competitors will contest a combined USD 200,000 prize pool, further strengthening VBG Qatar’s place within the country’s growing esports calendar.
Esport takes a bigger role in Qatar’s entertainment scene
Beyond competition, VBG Qatar 2026 will provide a meeting point for players, creators and fans to connect through gaming and digital culture.
The championship also reflects the growing role of esports within Qatar’s entertainment and technology landscape. In addition, it forms part of the diverse Qatar Calendar events presented by Visit Qatar and showcases the country’s developing capabilities in hosting large-scale, technology-driven events.

Building Qatar’s esport ecosystem
The return of the championship also builds on the partnership between Visit Qatar and Virtuocity following the event’s first edition.

VBG Qatar 2026 will run throughout September at Virtuocity, Doha Festival City.
