Wellfit has opened its first fitness centre in Abu Dhabi, launching a 50,000-square-foot flagship facility at Reem Mall on Reem Island.
The new mega-club, approximately the size of a football field, marks Wellfit’s entry into the capital and becomes its sixth flagship location in the UAE.
Part of Formative, the UAE’s largest fitness collective, Wellfit has designed the centre to accommodate different training needs and fitness levels. The facility combines strength and cardio equipment with dedicated HYROX training areas, group exercise studios, martial arts programmes and recovery facilities.
HYROX training and performance facilities at Wellfit Reem Mall
The new club is a HYROX-affiliated fitness centre, offering certified coaches, dedicated training programmes and specialist equipment.
Its performance areas cater to athletes preparing for HYROX competitions, as well as members interested in incorporating functional fitness, strength and endurance training into their routines.
The facility also includes an extensive range of equipment for both individual workouts and structured training.
The club features 72 cardio machines, 50 strength machines and more than 15 machines dedicated to glute and hip training. Members also have access to 11 dumbbell racks, six cable and multi-stations, and 12 Olympic lifting platforms.
Together, the equipment supports a wide range of workouts, from traditional strength training and weightlifting to functional fitness, conditioning and endurance training.

Group fitness, cycling and junior programmes
Beyond the main training floor, Wellfit Reem Mall offers dedicated spaces for group activities and specialist classes.
The club includes a main group exercise studio, a cycling studio equipped with 22 bikes, a dedicated mixed martial arts (MMA) area and a children’s studio.
Its class schedule covers both adults and younger members, with programmes designed for different ages and abilities.
Among the junior offerings is Wellfit’s Junior Martial Arts programme, providing younger participants with structured opportunities to develop their skills.
Recovery and wellness integrated into the fitness experience
Recovery is another major component of the new flagship, with facilities designed to complement members’ training routines.
Wellfit Reem Mall features separate wellness areas for men and women, incorporating five cold plunges, two saunas and two experiential showers.
A dedicated Hyperice recovery zone provides additional recovery options, while vanity stations complete the wellness facilities.
The club also includes Hungry Wolves, Wellfit’s award-winning healthy eating restaurant, offering members an on-site dining option.
Located within Reem Mall, the facility is accessible from communities across Abu Dhabi. Free parking is available for both members and visitors.
Wellfit expands its presence in the UAE
The Abu Dhabi opening follows Wellfit’s continued expansion since launching its first location in 2021.
David Prosser, CEO of Formative, described the new flagship as an important step in the brand’s regional development.
“The opening of Wellfit Reem Mall represents an important milestone for us as we bring the Wellfit experience to Abu Dhabi for the first time. At 50,000 sqft, this is a significant new facility that has been designed to offer everything our members need in one location.
“Abu Dhabi has a strong and growing community focused on health and active living and Reem Mall provides an ideal setting for our first club in the capital. We look forward to welcoming members of all ages and abilities and becoming an important part of the local community.”
Wellfit Reem Mall joins the brand’s existing UAE locations in Jumeirah Village Circle, Meydan, Dubai Marina and Mirdif’s Sport Society in Dubai, alongside Aljada in Sharjah.
Formative targets 100,000 members by 2027
Wellfit operates under Formative, a fitness collective launched by Arada in November 2025.
The platform also brings together FitnGlam, The Platform Studios and FITCODE, creating a network of fitness brands serving different training and wellness needs.
Together, the brands currently serve approximately 40,000 members across more than 20 clubs.
Formative aims to expand that network to 100,000 members across 40 locations by 2027, with the new Abu Dhabi flagship contributing to its wider growth plans.
