Paula Blasi Secures Tour Féminin des Pyrénées Title as UAE Team ADQ Dominates Overall Standings

The Spaniard led a UAE Team ADQ one-two finish after a commanding week that delivered four classification victories for the team.

Paula Blasi completed a dominant week for UAE Team ADQ by securing overall victory at the CIC-Tour Féminin des Pyrénées, leading a remarkable one-two finish for the team alongside Dominika Włodarczyk.

The three-stage race concluded with a 114.4 kilometre route from Nay to Jurançon, where UAE Team ADQ controlled proceedings from start to finish. The team managed the day’s breakaway effectively and comfortably defended its positions at the top of the general classification.

Queen stage proves decisive

The foundations of the overall victory were laid during Saturday’s queen stage, which featured the iconic Col du Tourmalet.

There, UAE Team ADQ delivered one of its strongest performances of the season. Blasi claimed victory on the stage while Włodarczyk secured a crucial result that helped lock in a one-two finish in the final standings.

As a result, the team entered the final stage with a commanding advantage and clear control of the race.

Blasi continues remarkable season

For the 23-year-old Spaniard, the overall title marks her fifth victory of the season and further underlines her emergence as one of the sport’s brightest young talents.

The Tour Féminin des Pyrénées triumph adds to an already impressive campaign that includes victories at the Amstel Gold Race, La Vuelta Femenina, Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria, and the queen stage of the French race.

In the final general classification, Blasi finished 1 minute and 57 seconds ahead of teammate Włodarczyk, while Juliette Berthet (FDJ-SUEZ) completed the overall podium in third place.

UAE Team ADQ claims multiple classifications

The team’s success extended well beyond the general classification.

Blasi secured both the yellow jersey as overall winner and the polka-dot jersey in the mountains classification. Meanwhile, Federica Venturelli won the points classification, while UAE Team ADQ also topped the team classification.

Together, the results reflected a week of consistent performances, with the team playing a leading role throughout the race in the Pyrenees.

Collective effort rewarded

Throughout the race, UAE Team ADQ remained among the key protagonists, controlling crucial stages and consistently placing riders at the front of the action.

The final outcome rewarded a strong collective effort from the entire squad and highlighted the depth currently within the team.

Rider reaction

Speaking after securing the overall title, Blasi said:

“Last year, the Tour des Pyrénées was the first race where I really came as a leader for the general classification, and it was a very tough experience. Today, I’m here as the winner. I think I’m the same person as I was a year ago, but with much more experience. I’ve learned how to move better within the peloton, stay calm when it matters, and make better decisions during the race.

This year I arrived with much more confidence in myself and with a very strong team around me.

Today we worked perfectly once again. We wanted to try to win the stage with Dominika, but when the breakaway went clear, we stayed focused on our main objective: controlling the race and securing the overall victory. We achieved that, and we’re very happy and satisfied with the result.”
