The UAE Tennis Federation has announced a new strategic partnership with ASICS Arabia, naming the brand as its Official Footwear Partner under a three-year agreement beginning in February 2026.
The collaboration is designed to support the continued development of tennis across the UAE, with a particular focus on national teams, junior pathways, and long-term performance standards. The partnership brings together the Federation’s athlete development strategy with ASICS’ global expertise in performance footwear innovation.
The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony attended by Yasuhito Hirota, CEO of ASICS Corporation, Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Tennis Federation, and Seiji Hori, General Manager of ASICS Arabia, underscoring the long-term strategic importance of the partnership.
Under the agreement, ASICS Arabia will supply its latest tennis footwear across the Federation’s key performance programmes, including the UAE National Tennis Team, the Junior National Team, and the Junior Tennis Academy. The initiative aims to ensure athletes are equipped with products engineered to support movement, stability, and on-court comfort during both training and competition.
The partnership aligns with a shared ambition to elevate performance standards while building sustainable development structures across all levels of the sport, from grassroots to elite competition.
Speaking on behalf of the UAE Tennis Federation, Marwan Bin Essa, Head of Finance and Partnership, said:
“Through this collaboration, we are reinforcing our commitment to athlete welfare, long-term player development, and the professionalisation of tennis pathways across the UAE. ASICS Arabia brings proven expertise in high-performance footwear, and we are confident that this partnership will contribute positively to our competitive objectives and the sustainable growth of tennis nationwide.”
Commenting on the agreement, Seiji Hori, General Manager of ASICS Arabia, said:
“This partnership represents an important milestone for the development of tennis in the UAE. By bringing ASICS’ long-standing expertise and best-in-class tennis products to the national and junior teams, we aim to support stronger competitive results while also helping to further popularise the sport across the country.”
Beyond elite performance, the partnership reflects a broader investment in the UAE’s tennis ecosystem, with an emphasis on nurturing emerging talent, strengthening junior development pathways, and supporting the long-term growth of the sport nationwide.
Further details regarding partnership activations and athlete engagement initiatives will be announced in due course.
