Team and individual titles secured on Scotland’s most historic fairways
Brighton College Al Ain has made history at the World School Games (WSG) Golf Championship 2025, crowned overall team champions after three days of action on Scotland’s legendary courses.
The second edition of the championship saw over 100 golfers from 23 schools and 16 countries tee off at Royal Musselburgh, Musselburgh Golf Club, and Fairmont St Andrews from 14–17 September. Brighton College Al Ain not only topped the team leaderboard, but its pupils also shone individually.
- Summer Langford (Year 9) clinched first in the Women’s Junior Stableford.
- Louis Keddie (Year 7) took third in the Junior Stableford, with teammate Zachary Hambleton (Year 9) close behind in sixth.
- Keegan Poisat (Year 9), playing off a standout 2.6 handicap, secured a top-ten in Junior Strokeplay.
- Director of Sport Allan Keddie also scored big in the Teachers category.

Head Master Oliver Bromley-Hall summed it up: “We are immensely proud of our pupils and all that they have achieved at the WSG Golf Championship. Their teamwork, resilience, and talent reflect everything we strive to instill at Brighton College Al Ain.”
Director of Sport Allan Keddie called it a career highlight: “The pupils worked incredibly hard, supported one another, and showed real character on some of the toughest courses in golf. Seeing them lift the trophy together was very special.”
Year 9 champ Summer Langford said: “To play on some of the best courses in the world is something I will never forget. To then finish the week with an overall team win… was just the best feeling.”
And Year 7’s rising star Louis Keddie added: “I’m only 11, so this was my first major competition and I’m so happy it was in my family’s home country of Scotland. The UAE has been my home for 10 years now and I am so proud to be bringing the trophy back to Brighton College Al Ain.”

This year’s WSG Golf Championship also upped its game with live-streamed rounds, pro commentary, Shot Tracer tech, and a ‘featured hole’ each day, giving fans and families a front-row seat from anywhere in the world.
Brighton College Al Ain’s victory underlines its reputation for sporting excellence and proves that UAE schools are driving it straight down the fairway on the world stage.
