World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is set to face Nick Kyrgios in a first-of-its-kind “Battle of the Sexes: The Dubai Showdown” on December 28, 2025, at the Coca-Cola Arena, promising an evening of world-class tennis and entertainment in the heart of the UAE.
Organized by sports and entertainment company TLive, the exhibition will mark the company’s Middle East debut, presented in partnership with IM8, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and Coca-Cola Arena.
More than five decades after Billie Jean King’s historic victory over Bobby Riggs in 1973, Battle of the Sexes: The Dubai Showdown reimagines the iconic contest for a new generation, bringing together two of the sport’s most magnetic personalities in a clash that blends elite performance, entertainment, and respect.
Sabalenka, who calls Dubai home, shared her excitement about representing women’s tennis on such a stage: “I have so much respect for Billie Jean King and what she has done for the women’s game. I’m proud to represent women’s tennis and to be part of this modern take on the iconic Battle of the Sexes,” said Sabalenka. “Dubai is my home, and I know this city loves big, entertaining events. I have a lot of respect for Nick and his talent, but make no mistake, I’m ready to bring my A-game.”
Kyrgios, said: “When the World No.1 challenges you, you answer the call,” he said. “I’ve got massive respect for Aryna; she’s a powerhouse and a true champion. But I’ve never backed down from a challenge, and I’m not just here to play, I’m here to entertain. Dubai, get ready for a show, because I’m going to bring the heat at the Coca-Cola Arena.”
