Three-time Olympic gold medallist and world record holder Stephanie Rice is bringing her expertise poolside in Dubai, leading new swim programs designed to save lives, build confidence, and inspire future champions.
Rice, who now calls Dubai home, has teamed up with My Sports Academy (MSA) to roll out My Swim Club, a program that blends world-class coaching with water safety education and performance pathways for athletes of all levels.
“From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be an Olympic swimmer, and I will always be grateful to have grown up in a country with some of the world’s highest standards of learn-to-swim programs,” said Rice. “So I’m thrilled to be supporting MSA’s program here in Dubai, the place I now call home, as the quality of their program reflects the same teaching standards I was fortunate to grow up with. My hope is that your children benefit from the same high-quality swim education, whether they dream of becoming Olympic champions or simply want to enjoy the city’s wonderful beaches and pools with peace of mind.”
She will be hands-on in developing curriculum and supporting coaches across several leading Dubai schools, including Dubai British School, Jumeirah Baccalaureate School, The English College, and Brighton College Dubai.
Her arrival comes as swimming surges in popularity across the UAE – from 24/7 night-swimming beaches and high-profile events to world-class waterparks and wellness initiatives. But with the World Health Organization naming drowning as a leading cause of accidental death worldwide, the message is clear: swimming isn’t just a sport, it’s a vital life skill.
Rice’s presence signals a new era for swimming in the UAE – one where safety, performance, and inspiration meet in the same lane.
