Lara Gillespie delivered another strong result for UAE Team ADQ at Nokere Koerse, sprinting to third place in Belgium.
The 133.3-kilometre race from Deinze to Nokere ended with a slightly uphill sprint, where timing and positioning proved decisive. Gillespie held her line in the closing metres, finishing behind winner Lotte Kopecky and Charlotte Kool.
The race remained intense throughout, with UAE Team ADQ consistently positioned at the front of the peloton. In the early stages, Eilidh Shaw, Milana Ushakova, and Sofie van Rooijen controlled the pace and supported the team’s strategy.
In the final kilometres, Megan Jastrab and Febe Jooris played a key role in closing down attacks and positioning Gillespie for the sprint. Jastrab briefly attempted to bridge to a two-rider breakaway before the peloton brought the move back.
With 1.5 kilometres to go, the final attack was neutralised, setting up a bunch sprint. After completing her lead-out, Jastrab pulled aside, allowing Gillespie to launch her effort.
The result adds to a consistent run of performances for Lara Gillespie Nokere Koerse appearances this season, highlighting her growing presence in sprint finishes.
Gillespie produced a strong acceleration in the closing meters to secure third place, marking another podium finish for both the rider and UAE Team ADQ.
