Across the world, hiking is surging. Strava’s 2025 Year-End Report shows that New Clubs on the platform nearly quadrupled this year, hitting one million total clubs. Hiking clubs grew the fastest at 5.8 times their previous size, followed by running clubs at 3.5 times. Club-organized events also rose 1.5 times year-over-year, signalling a clear shift: people aren’t just moving more, they’re moving together.
The UAE is no exception. And there’s nowhere this movement feels more alive than Jebel Jais.
Soaring above Ras Al Khaimah, the country’s highest peak has become a natural meeting point for hikers, runners and weekend explorers. This winter, Jebel Jais is inviting more people into that movement with a new season of guided hikes, outdoor fitness and mountain-side wellness.
A Mountain Built For Movement

Jebel Jais has long been known for its record-breaking zipline and rugged terrain, but the mountain has quietly evolved into one of the region’s leading outdoor hubs. From sunrise trail groups to family-friendly walks and youth training camps, the mountain’s spirit is shifting towards connection, community and the joy of moving outside.
This season’s programme sits under three pillars: Educate, Energise and Escape. Whether you want to learn a new trail, build confidence outdoors or just breathe in cool mountain air, there’s an entry point for everyone.

Four guided routes roll out each month, designed for different levels. Each session explores wadis, ridgelines and lesser-seen pockets of the mountain.
