On Emirati Women’s Day 2025, His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Space Agency, paid tribute to the extraordinary role Emirati women have played in shaping the UAE’s journey of progress and prosperity.
In his statement, His Excellency affirmed that women have, over the past five decades, established themselves as a cornerstone of the nation’s success, embodying the values instilled by the Founding Fathers and writing new chapters of excellence across all sectors.
He praised the unwavering support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak – Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation – noting her lifelong commitment to advancing Emirati women in every sphere.
“Throughout the years, Emirati women have played a pivotal role in building a cohesive society and raising beautiful generations through their contributions as mothers and wives. With determination and perseverance, they have gone further, participating effectively in shaping our nation’s prosperous present and radiant future, under the guidance and with the full support of our wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him. This year’s theme – ‘Together We Celebrate 50 Years’ – shines a spotlight on the pioneering accomplishments of Emirati women over the past five decades and the vital role they continue to play in every sector.”
